First Texas Mountain Art Seminar Attracts Area Artists
Artists in Van Horn and from throughout the Texas Mountain region came together in early November to show their work and participate in a small business seminar for artists in Van Horn. AdventGX produced the event as part of the Van Horn Economic Development Initiative. Nearly 20 artists participated in the educational weekend and locals and travelers visited the show to take in the art. The event was sponsored by the Texas Commission of the Arts, Van Horn Economic Development Corporation, Van Horn Convention Center and Visitors Bureau, Big Bend Arts Council and Red Rock Ranch. Travel Guide Project Launched with ASD Workshop
Jose Quintana, Joan Tatge and Lindsey Hafner traveled to Alpine, Texas to kick off the Big Bend Texas Mountain Travel Guide project with an AdventGX Strategy Deployment Workshop. Representatives from communities across the region provided valuable insight that will shape the development of the 2007-2008 guide, slated to ship January 2007. AdventGX was awarded the contract to produce the print and online versions of the regional travel guide by the Big Bend Texas Mountain Travel Association and will be providing turnkey services to see the project through to completion.
