Advent GX Founded in Texas A&M Research Park
April 2004
In April 2004, Advent GX Founder Jose Quintana filed the documents with the Texas Secretary of State to establish Advent GX, a spin-out of Texas A&M University. Advent GX kept its offices at Texas A&M Research Park in College Station, TX for more than a decade before moving its headquarters to Historic Downtown Bryan, Texas.

Ad Tracker Data Analysis Tool deployed for State of Texas
2007
Advent GX work with Texas Office of the Governor Economic Development and Tourism to develop the Ad Tracker database, an innovative tool used to analyze the effectiveness of advertising campaigns across various media.
Grand Stafford Theater opened as all genre music and community events venue
2012
Advent GX partnered with local entrepreneurs to gather investors and design a model for bringing downtown’s oldest building back from the brink of destruction and opening Grand Stafford Theater for live music and other community events.
Bryan, TX Cultural District Designation
2014
Advent GX assembled a team of Texas A&M University faculty and local leaders and collaborated with Downtown Bryan Association to develop and promote Downtown Bryan’s application to receive the designation as a Texas Cultural District, opening up exclusive opportunities for state marketing support to attract visitors to Bryan.
First international artist in residence program
2015
Marie Renee Hoeks of Amsterdam was the first international artist in residence through SEAD Gallery’s residency and exhibit program.
Historic Ice House on Main redevelopment project opens
2018
After nearly 20 years sitting vacant, Advent GX took on the challenging task of restoring and revitalizing the Ice House on Main to bring new life and vitality to the north end of downtown Bryan.
Covid-19 Economic Recovery Resources Launched
2020
As the entire world grappled with how to survive the economic calamity of Covid-19, Advent GX partnered with the Innovation Underground team and theĀ Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station Clean Energy Incubator (TEES-CEI) a team of advisors throughout our community to assemble resources and provide advisory services to area businesses struggling in the wake of COVID-19 response.
