AdventGX founders Jose and Joan Quintana traveled to Mexico City to participate in The Texas Lyceum’s international conference “Beyond Borders: Immigration and the Texas Economy.” The conference included exceptional conversations about economic diplomacy, trade, education, security, and more.

In traditional Lyceum fashion, the event included a distinguished selection of speakers presenting from various perspectives on challenging issues. The group debated ideas and learned about realities on the ground. Often they disagreed amongst themselves, but listened and learned from one another.

AdventGX hosted prospective new Lyceum members Alejandra Gonzalez Rainey, Deputy Chief of Staff for the President of Texas A&M University, and Jayton Rainey, Chief of Staff at Blue Forge Alliance, for the week in Mexico, bringing a new generation of leaders to the Lyceum community. The conference included visits to the United States Ambassador’s Residency and a sampling of Mexico City’s rich cultural sites, including the National Art Museum and Bellas Artes. The group also visited heritage sites in the heart of Mexico City and enjoyed visits with old friends and colleagues from Monterrey Tech.

Many thanks to US Ambassador to Mexico Ronald Johnson and his lovely wife, who welcomed us into their home. And special thanks to the meeting chairs: Monica Perez, Mario Porras, and Lizzy de la Garza Putegnat for all the work they put in to create an excellent experience.
