| JOB SUMMARY: |
Performs the primary functions of a professional nurse leader in assessing, planning, directing and evaluating patient care in an outpatient and inpatient setting. Manages all supplies and equipment, and assures the plan of care is carried out in a safe environment through performance and supervision of subordinate personnel.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
|
A. Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing.
B. Personal Job-Related Skills:Demonstrated ability in nursing practice. Has effective oral and written communication skills.
C. Licensure, Registry or Certification: Registered Nurse currently licensed by the State of Texas.
D. Experience:
- Prior Work Experience: One year experience of professional nursing experience and 1 year of surgical experience preferred.
- Technical Training: Current CPR certification. ACLS preferred.
- Physical and Mental Requirements: Duties of the position require extended periods of standing and walking. Also required is bending, stooping, twisting, reaching and lifting up to 50 pounds. Occasional heavy lifting required when moving or supporting patients who may suddenly become weak or helpless.
