JOB TITLE:	Physical Therapist
DEPARTMENT:	Physical Therapy
JOB SUMMARY:	Administers and directs the administering of physical agents utilized in physical medicine and rehabilitation as prescribed by a physician. Coordinates outpatient programs as needed. May oversee the provision of care for cardiac rehab patients. Ensures compliance with CMS and other regulatory agencies. Under the direction of the PT Director, establishes policies/procedures, provisions, and objectives.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

A. Education: Graduate of an accredited Bachelor Degree program in Physical Therapy. B. Personal Job-Related Skills:Knowledge of physical therapy equipment. Effective oral and written communication skills. C. Licensure, Registry or Certification: Texas Physical Therapy license. D. Experience: Prior Work Experience: One year experience as a Licensed Physical Therapist preferred. Technical Training: CPR. ACLS if to perform cardiac rehab. Physical and Mental Requirements: Duties of the position require extended periods of standing and walking. Repeated bending, stooping and reaching. Pushing and pulling up to 300 pounds and carrying up to 50 pounds and heavier lifting in transferring or supporting patients who may suddenly become weak or helpless.
