PCMH nurses attend workshop in Austin

Pecos County Memorial Hospital scrub nurses recently completed a two day training workshop in Austin. Ellie Colomo, LVN, and Misty Madrid, LVN, along with their supervisor, Judy Minter, attended the workshop on September 20th and 21st.

The scrub nurses received a preparation workshop certificate for Preoperative Nursing Achievement. ³We basically received more training for surgery. We learned new techniques and the workshops keep us up to date in our field, Colomo said.

Colomo and Madrid not only work 40 hours a week, but are often on call for emergency surgeries as well.
